The area

Rialto is a mostly residential area in south west Dublin city. Just a few stops from the city centre on the Luas tram, the area has over 2000 households, including large social housing complexes, established private housing estates, and new apartments. It also borders St. James’ Hospital.

Rialto is in a period of transition in two major ways. Firstly, the area is changing through social and physical regeneration programmes and general building development. Secondly, it is changing in terms of its population with many new people from different backgrounds coming to live in the area.

Rialto Network is involved with many groups in the area in the hope we can make these changes happen as smoothly as possible and to help reassure all residents that the changes will be for the good of everyone in Rialto.
